Bushiroad has canceled the contract of STARDOM founder Rossy Ogawa, effective immediately.
In a tweet on February 4, STARDOM announced that wrestlers and staff were informed that Ogawa’s contract was terminated, effective immediately. An official announcement noted that Ogawa “has been poaching a number of Stardom athletes and staff members,” and this led to his termination.
Ogawa, who founded STARDOM in 2010, issued a statement on Twitter. He wrote that he was informed of his termination on Saturday. He said that he was worried about the wrestlers. Ogawa also wrote that the truth of the matter may be revealed down the road. Additionally, Ogawa thanked everyone for their support.
Bushiroad, the parent company of NJPW, acquired STARDOM in 2019, at which point Ogawa started working as an executive producer.
