Charles Haley’s Football Career and Achievements
Charles Haley was a former American professional football player who played as a defensive end and linebacker. He was a two-time All-American at James Madison University before being drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the 1986 NFL Draft. Haley played for San Francisco from 1986 to 1991, winning two Super Bowl Championships with the team.
He was then traded to the Dallas Cowboys where he played from 1992 to 1996, winning three Super Bowl Championships with the team. Haley finished his career with the 49ers from 1998 to 1999, winning two more Super Bowl Championships and becoming the only player in NFL history to win five Super Bowl Championships.
Haley was a two-time UPI NFC Defensive Player of the Year, a two-time All-Pro selection, and a five-time Pro Bowl selection. He is a member of the 100 Sacks Club, finishing his career with 100.5 sacks. In recognition of his achievements, Haley was inducted into the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2015.
